Dealing with a Woman When She Provokes You

Speaking with security and love — speech bubbles with a heart inside.

Today's story is about a man who did not know how to deal with women, so he began taking lessons from his intuition. And this story begins quietly: the lioness.

When the Missiles Are Launched

She attacked me with her words like a lioness pouncing on her prey. The fever took me — the fever of ignorance — and I returned fire double. I bombarded with a thunderous strike, not caring whether it was nuclear, hydrogen, fission, or even fusion. I did not care whether it was biological, or made from sarin gas, cyanide, or even phosphorus.

And in the midst of launching intercontinental ballistic missiles, I remembered that they are "qawarir" — fragile vessels — so I wanted to retreat, but the sword preceded the blame. Ohhh… I had pressed the red button (I do not know why it is red, but that is what the movies teach). Yes, I pressed the button and launched the missiles, the Toshka, the SAM-7, mortar shells, and projectiles (cos θ to calculate the distance).

A Word That Burns and Pierces

All of this happened in a few seconds. Oh… what has happened? Are we men not supposed to bear all kinds of hardship? Yes, we bear them. But a word from a beloved or a close friend (not the vinegar used in food!) can be like a burning, piercing bullet — even though they do not mean it, they say some things that make us, men as we are, unable to bear it.

Be Gentle with the Fragile Vessels

But a woman remains a woman, and a female remains a female. So be gentle with the fragile vessels. When you speak to them — even if they provoke you — ignore it. Do not address them with logic and reason, for they may appear to understand. Instead, speak to them with security, with love, with sweet words. You will find them waiting to talk with you as a lover awaits his beloved.

They are sensitive — more than the sensitivity of a truck reversing — so deal with them in the kindest way. And if you cannot bear them patiently, withdraw, for any war with a beloved is a losing one. Look at the Arab peoples fighting and clashing; both sides lose.

Apology and Charity

In the end, apologize and ask for her forgiveness, forgive yourself if you erred, and seek Allah's forgiveness with sincerity and an honest intention — and you will feel nothing. So give charity — yes, give sadaqa, for zakat is not the same as sadaqa — by which your unseen sins, which have thickened and grown heavy, are wiped away.
